SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

ATTENTION! The boiler is maintained by the owner. Installation and initial startup of the boiler must be carried out only by the gas industry, the service department of the manufacturer or specialized installation services that have a special license (permit) for this type of work.

To avoid accidents and damage to the boiler PROHIBITED:

  • . turn on the boiler for persons who have not undergone special training (instruction) and for children;
  • . use fire to detect gas leaks (use soap emulsion for these purposes);
  • . turn on the boiler when there is no draft in the chimney and without first filling the heating system and boiler with water;
  • . press the start button and rotate the water heating thermostat adjustment knob unnecessarily;
  • . adjust the adjustment knob of the thermostat of the automation unit to a water temperature above 90°C;
  • . knock on the burner, automation, turn the handle of the gas tap, the thermostat adjustment knob using keys, pliers and other tools;
  • . place flammable objects (paper, rags, etc.) on the boiler and pipelines;
  • . dry clothes near the boiler and on pipelines;
  • . place flammable substances and materials on the boiler or near it;
  • . use a faulty boiler;
  • . the owner to repair and reinstall the boiler, as well as make any changes to the design.

The work of installing, connecting and putting into operation the boiler is carried out by the gas industry, service or specialized installation services that have a license (permit) for this type of work, according to a project agreed upon with the operating organization (trust) of the gas industry. The service specialist who starts the gas must instruct the user on the rules for using and maintaining the boiler, making an entry in the control coupon with mandatory confirmation by signature and seal. If these records are missing, the control coupon will be considered invalid and warranty repairs will not be performed.

1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1.1 Description and operation of the product.

1.1.1 Purpose.

KOV-ST, KOV-STPV boilers are designed for heating houses, cottages and apartments equipped with a water heating system with a working water pressure of up to 0.1 MPa, and the KOV-STPV boiler is also intended for supplying hot water for sanitary needs.

Distinctive features of our boiler are:

Automatic regulation of the boiler heating output in the range from 100% to 25% of the rated heating output in analogue mode (the burner does not go out) and in the range less than 25% in relay mode (burner extinguishing-ignition). This leads to gas savings and ultimately saves you money;

1.1.4 Design and operation

1.1.4.1 The boiler design is shown in Figure 1. Electrical diagram connections - in Figure 2, design of the gas burner device - in Figure 3.

The boiler consists of the following main components: a heat exchanger, a burner, safety sensors for draft and limit temperature, an igniter operation indicator, piezo ignition, a temperature indicator, and the KOV-STPV boiler additionally includes a copper coil.

1.1.4.2 The thermogenerator located in the pilot burner flame, after opening the valve, generates thermoEMF, which is supplied to the electromagnet winding of the inlet valve of the gas valve 2 of the gas burner device.

An electromagnet holds the valve in the open position - gas flows to the ignition and main burners that are part of the gas burner device. On the scale of the gas valve regulator, the temperature value leaving the water boiler is set, according to Table 3.

When the set water temperature is reached, the thermostat valve closes and reduces the flow of gas to the main burners, automatically adjusting the heating output.

The draft safety sensor or the maximum temperature safety sensor breaks the power supply circuit of the inlet valve electromagnet when the draft in the furnace is disrupted or the outlet water is heated above 95ºC, respectively, the inlet valve blocks the passage of gas to the main and ignition burners, the burners go out. The thermogenerator cools down and stops producing EMF. The burner is ignited manually after eliminating the reasons that caused the cessation of draft in the firebox or overheating of the outlet water.

1.1.5 Operating procedure

1.1.5.1 Starting the boiler.

The first start-up of the boiler is carried out by the service department when installing the boiler in the following sequence:

2.2 Installation instructions.

2.2.1 Before installation and operation, carefully read the rules and recommendations contained in this manual.

Installation, instruction for operation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and repair of the boiler are carried out by a specialized organization and local gas management in accordance with PB12-529-2003, approved by Rostekhnadzor of the Russian Federation, and building codes and regulations SNiP 41-01-2003 and SP 41 -108-2004 Gosstroy of the Russian Federation with the obligatory completion of a control coupon for boiler installation.

If the rules set out in this manual are violated, the boiler is not subject to warranty repair.

2.2.2 Install through the hole in the side left wall, pos. 9 (see Figure 1), the pipe with the gasket, pos. 10, from the delivery set, into the union nut, pos. 20. Tighten the union nut and connect the boiler to the gas main. Check the tightness of the joints by soaping.

Do not use a flame or spark to detect a gas leak. For this purpose, you can only use soap foam, specially designed liquid formulations or special ones. leak detectors.

Install the relief valve. To do this, unscrew the plug pos. 15 (see Figure 1) and screw in the supplied relief valve with the same gasket that was on the plug, using a standard set of keys.

2.2.3 At the outlet pipe of the heating system for KOV-STPV boilers, install a ball valve with the bore diameter of your system. The tap is necessary to turn off the heating system and ensure the operation of the hot water supply system during unheated periods.

2.2.4 CONNECTIONS OF THE BOILER TO THE HEATING SYSTEM AND GAS MAIN MUST BE THREADED ONLY, ALLOWING THE BOILER TO BE DISCONNECTED.

2.2.5 Horizontal sections of the heating system pipelines must be made with a slope of at least 10 mm per 1 m towards the heating devices (heating radiators) and from the heating devices to the boiler.

2.2.6 When installing the boiler in an unheated room or when pipelines pass through an open space or an unheated room, they must be thoroughly insulated.

2.2.7 The expansion tank is installed at the top point of the riser, preferably in a heated room. When installing a tank in an unheated room, the pipelines, tank and drain pipe must be carefully insulated.

2.2.8 There should be no areas in the heating system where air pockets can form.

2.2.9 Pipelines, heating devices (heating radiators) and joints must be sealed, water leaks are not allowed.
